The Answer

"Yes, I will,"
The soundless voice comforts,
"Yes, I will."

When creeping doubt brings icy hardness,
The warming light softens, "Yes, I will."
To ancient remembrances, grand conquests, affairs, thrills, loves,
A happy assurance, winkingly, "Yes, I will."
To regrets; "Yes, I will."
To unwellnesses, funks, turns inward, fear,
To tragedies...
Stalwartly, "Yes, I will."
The voice Itself a translator, a rectifier - The Great Transformer;
"Behold, I make all things new."
His Answer catches my breath,
And dashes me out...
Out to meet the mystery.
Of course, a reunion!
We're found, face to face, here in this present.
Ask of this voice, and listen.
Infinite joy propels his reply,
"Yes, I will."
